A NEW LANDMARK FOR DAKAR

Dakar I Sénégal I 2015

This 25 story tower hosts many functions: residential, offices and commercial on the lowers floors.

At the street level a great plaza is designed, that links the Pasteur avenue with the Corniche road and the Anse Bernard beach. The ground presents height variations with a 6 meters difference from north to south, therefore the plaza is dug. The ground floor becomes thereby a focal point where to establish shops and services.

The top floor hosts a luxury restaurant and café that offers a stunning

view. The tower tightens little by little the more it goes up, the obtained shift of each floor creates, on the north side, a terrace that overlooks the sea and the Gorée Island.

The wind studies have showed that over the year it always blows from

the north, north-west side, which is why every floor is slightly rotated

so to be more aerodynamic.
